Noosa Day Hospital is a new multidisciplinary facility featuring three state-of-the-art operating theatres, equipped with the latest surgical technology.
The hospital includes modern recovery and patient care areas and supports a broad range of specialties, including Ophthalmology, General Surgery, Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery, Gastroenterology, Orthopaedic Surgery, Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery, Breast Surgery, Pain Management and MOHS Surgery.
The hospital is located within the Noosa Specialist Medical Centre, alongside established consulting suites for specialists and allied health professionals.
This creates a centralised hub for surgical services, including pre- and post-operative care.
The opportunity
We are seeking an experiencedCSSD Managerto join our team on apermanent full-timebasis.
This role is responsible for establishing, organising and operationalising the CSSD department within a current hospital environment.
You will ensure best practice sterilisation standards at all times, while leading and supporting the CSSD team in line with the hospital's values and expected behaviours.
Key responsibilities
Lead, support and motivate the CSSD team to achieve high performance
Ensure compliance with sterilisation and infection control standards
Promote a culture of continuous improvement within the department
Foster effective communication and positive working relationships




Maintain accuracy in documentation and data entry
Exercise sound judgement and decision-making in daily operations
About you
To be successful in this role, you will demonstrate:
Solid leadership capability within a team-based environment
A commitment to continuous improvement and quality outcomes
Effective communication and interpersonal skills
Comprehensive knowledge of disinfection and sterilisation standards
High attention to detail and organisational skills
Reliability, professionalism and accountability
Current Certificate III in Sterilisation Services or equivalent
Demonstrated management or supervisory experience
Minimum five years' experience in a sterilisation environment is desirable
