The Role
n
You will work as part of an electrical team supporting hard rock mining and processing operations, carrying out electrical project, maintenance and shutdown work.
n
Depending on your experience, duties may include:
n
n
Electrical maintenance and fault finding
n
Installation and modification work
n
Industrial electrical work
n




Mining electrical maintenance
n
Plant and processing equipment
n
Shutdown and project work
n
Electrical testing and commissioning
n
Working safely around HV and LV electrical systems
n
n
What we're looking for
n
Essential:
n
n
Queensland Electrical Mechanic / Electrical Fitter licence, or recognised equivalent
n
Current Australian driver's licence
n
Current LVR & CPR
n
Solid commitment to safety
n
Good communication and teamwork skills
n
Positive, reliable attitude
n
Ability to successfully complete a mining medical / MMQ
n
Ability to obtain a National Police Clearance
n
n
Mining experience is preferred, but we will consider qualified electricians who have the right skills, attitude and willingness to learn.
n

Hard rock mining experience

HV switching experience
n
Instrumentation & process control experience

EWP ticket

Previous shutdown experience
