Disability Support Worker – Children | Scoresby
Location: Scoresby, VIC

Hours: Morning and afternoon shifts, Monday, Wednsday and Friday

About the Role
CarePro is seeking experienced and compassionate Disability Support Workers to support two children in the Scoresby area with their daily routines, particularly before and after school.
The role involves providing consistent, patient and engaging support to help the children safely complete their morning and afternoon routines.
The successful candidates will have experience supporting children with autism, intellectual disability, ADHD and complex support needs, including children who are non-verbal.
Key Responsibilities
Supporting children with their morning and afternoon school routines
Assisting with personal care and daily living activities
Preparing straightforward meals, snacks and assisting with mealtimes
Providing companionship, engagement and age-appropriate activities
Supporting children to develop independence and confidence
School drop-off and pick-up
Supporting children in the community and during appointments when required
Following individual support plans, routines and behavioural strategies
Supporting children who may have communication difficulties or be non-verbal
Maintaining a safe, positive and supportive environment
Communicating appropriately with parents, guardians and the CarePro team
Completing required support documentation and progress notes
About You
We are looking for candidates who are patient, reliable,



calm and genuinely passionate about supporting children with disability.
You will ideally have:
Previous experience working with children with disability
Experience supporting children with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD)
Experience supporting children with intellectual disability
Experience supporting children with ADHD
Experience supporting non-verbal children is essential
Experience with personal care and daily living support
Good communication and interpersonal skills
The ability to follow established routines and support plans
A calm and patient approach when responding to challenging or complex behaviours
A current driver's licence and reliable vehicle
The ability to safely transport children where required
Mandatory Requirements
Successful candidates must have:
NDIS Worker Screening Check
Working with Children Check (WWCC)
Current First Aid Certificate
Current CPR Certificate
NDIS Worker Orientation Module
Relevant disability/health qualification, such as Certificate III in Individual Support, Certificate IV in Disability or equivalent
Current driver's licence and reliable vehicle
Relevant employment references
