Job Description

Administer and maintain Microsoft Hyper-V virtualisation infrastructure, including provisioning, monitoring, and optimising virtual machines
n
Manage Windows Server environments including Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, Group Policy, and file services
n
Monitor system health, performance metrics, and capacity planning across servers and network infrastructure
n
Perform regular patching, firmware updates, and security hardening in line with organisational policies
n
Manage backup and disaster recovery systems, including regular testing and verification of restore procedures
n
Troubleshoot and resolve network, server, and application issues in a timely manner
n
Maintain accurate documentation of systems, configurations, and operational procedures
n
Participate in on-call rotation to support 24-hour business operations
n
Collaborate with the broader technology team on infrastructure projects and improvements
n
Australian citizenship required for this position

Required Skills & Experience
n
n
Minimum 3 years' experience in a system or network administration role
n
Strong hands-on experience with Microsoft Hyper-V virtualisation
n
Sound understanding of networking fundamentals including TCP/IP, VLANs, firewalls, and switching
n
Experience with backup technologies and disaster recovery procedures
n
Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues methodically
n
Robust documentation and communication skills
n
Ability to work autonomously and manage competing priorities
n
Experience working in environments with strict uptime requirements or SLAs
n
Familiarity with monitoring and alerting tools (PRTG, Zabbix, or similar)
n
Microsoft certifications (MCSA, MCSE, or Azure equivalent)
n
Experience with SQL Server administration
