Meyer Timber is seeking a practical, ambitiousQueensland Branch Managerto serve as the hands-on 2IC to our General Manager, Queensland.
This is an outstanding opportunity for an Operations Manager, Sales Manager, Branch Manager or Senior Key Account Manager with at least two years of relevant experience in timber wholesale or a similar building-products wholesale business.
We are looking for a developing leader who has successfully managed a team and is ready to broaden from functional or branch leadership into a visible, hands-on whole-of-business role.

About the Position
AsQueensland Branch Manager, you will report to the QLD General Manager, and serve as their hands-on 2IC.
You will lead the Yard Operations Manager, Sales Manager, Technical Manager and two Internal Sales team members - five direct reports in total.
Business Plan Execution, Growth & Performance
turn the approved Business Plan into clear priorities, coordinated action, ownership and results.
Leadership & Team Development
coach the three managers, directly lead Internal Sales and build a flexible, capable and accountable Queensland team.
Sales Manager & Internal Sales Leadership
support the Sales Manager to lead their team while directly improving Internal Sales service, accuracy and follow-up.
Yard Operations, Safety & Technical Excellence




work closely with the relevant managers to strengthen safety, service, quality, accuracy and productivity.
Communication & Continuous Improvement
learn end-to-end workflows, remove friction and embed better ways of working as the business grows.
The General Manager retains ownership of the Business Plan, P&L;, financial reporting and budgeting.
Your focus is hands-on execution, detailed operational understanding and disciplined follow-through across the business.
About You
2+ years' experience as an Operations Manager, Sales Manager, Branch Manager, Senior Key Account Manager or closely comparable role in timber wholesale or a similar building-products wholesale business.
A developing leader with a demonstrated record of successfully managing, supporting and improving a team.
Ambitious, curious and coachable, with the potential and motivation to progress into General Management.
Visible and hands-on, with the discipline to learn how work is completed in excellent detail and improve it practically.
Commercially aware and customer focused, with sound judgement and an appreciation of safety, service, quality and productivity.
A explicit communicator and organised planner who builds accountability, collaborates well and remains calm through growth and change.
