Job Description
A leading Defence industry partner is seeking an experienced Business Analyst to support a major Intelligence, Surveillance and Reconnaissance (ISR) capability integration program. This role is based in Melbourne and will work within a secure Defence setting alongside APS, military and industry stakeholders.
n The successful candidate will contribute to the uplift, integration and modernisation of software?intensive systems that support ISR data, workflows and mission outcomes. This is an opportunity to work on a nationally significant program enhancing Defence's ability to collect, manage and exploit ISR information across domains.
n Key Responsibilities:
n
n
Engage Defence stakeholders to gather, analyse and validate business, functional and non?functional requirements.
n
Produce clear and defensible documentation including process maps, workflows, use cases, user stories and acceptance criteria.
n
Support
software/application?intensive
delivery streams, including integration, enhancement and transition of Defence systems.
n
Contribute to solution assessments, requirements traceability and change impact analysis.
n




Work closely with technical teams to ensure requirements are understood, feasible and aligned to operational needs.
n
Assist with governance artefacts, project reporting and compliance activities within a Defence context.
n

Required Experience
n
n
Demonstrated experience working within Defence environments or other secure government settings.
n
Strong business analysis capability across requirements elicitation, process modelling and stakeholder engagement.
n
Experience supporting
software/application?intensive
projects, ideally involving enterprise platforms or complex system integration.
n
Understanding of Defence governance, ICT delivery processes and capability lifecycle frameworks.
n

Highly Desirable:
n
n
Exposure to ISR programs, intelligence systems or data integration platforms (desirable but not essential).
n
n
Security Clearance:
n
n
NV2 preferred (NV1 considered)
n
