Job Description
We are seeking an experienced and proactive HSEQ Officer to join our team based in Sandgate, NSW.

This is an excellent opportunity for an HSEQ professional with a strong background in demolition and civil construction who understands the fast-paced nature of site-based operations and is passionate about maintaining high standards of Health, Safety, Environment and Quality.
n
The successful candidate will work closely with project managers, supervisors and site crews to ensure compliance with company procedures, legislation and project requirements.
n
Key Responsibilities
n
Conduct regular site inspections, audits and safety observations.
n
Monitor and maintain HSEQ compliance across demolition and civil projects.
n
Assist with the development, implementation and review of SWMS, JSA's and risk assessments.
n
Investigate incidents, near misses and hazards and assist with corrective actions.
n
Deliver toolbox talks, inductions and HSEQ training.
n
Ensure environmental controls and waste management requirements are maintained.
n
Maintain accurate HSEQ documentation, registers and reporting.
n
Support project teams with risk management and continuous improvement initiatives.
n
Liaise with site supervisors, workers, clients and subcontractors regarding HSEQ matters.

Promote a positive safety culture across all projects.
n
About You
n
Previous experience in an HSEQ role within demolition and/or civil construction.
n
Strong knowledge of Australian WHS legislation, demolition and construction safety requirements.
n
Practical, hands-on experience working on construction and demolition sites.
n
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
n
The ability to engage confidently with site crews, supervisors and management.
n
Strong attention to detail and organisational skills.
n
A proactive approach to identifying and resolving safety issues.
n
Relevant HSEQ qualifications such as Cert IV WHS or equivalent.
n
DASH Pivot Experience - confidence using the system for HSEQ reporting, inspections, incidents and documentation.
n
Current construction industry experience and a White Card.
