On behalf of our client, we are looking for an experienced full-time Network Engineer.
n
Key Responsibilities
n
n
Analysed business and technical requirements and contributed to the design, planning, implementation, and maintenance of network and systems infrastructure.
n
Designed, configured, and maintained LAN/WAN environments, routers, switches, firewalls, wireless networks, and associated network infrastructure.
n
Configured and managed core network services and protocols, including TCP/IP, VLANs, DHCP, DNS, VPNs, and routing protocols.
n
Monitored network performance, availability, capacity, and connectivity to identify potential issues and ensure the reliability and stability of network services.
n
Diagnosed and resolved complex network and systems issues by performing technical analysis, troubleshooting, and root-cause analysis, and implementing appropriate corrective actions.
n
Planned and executed network upgrades, configuration changes, system integrations, testing, and deployments, ensuring minimal disruption to business operations.
n
Implemented and maintained network security measures, including firewall configurations, access controls, VPN connectivity, and network security policies, in accordance with organisational requirements.
n
Evaluated existing network infrastructure and contributed to the development of technical solutions and infrastructure improvements to meet evolving business requirements.
n
Coordinated with internal IT teams, application teams, vendors, and service providers to resolve technical issues and successfully deliver network infrastructure projects and changes.
n




Prepared and maintained network architecture diagrams, technical documentation, configuration records, IP addressing details, and operational procedures.
n
Conducted network testing and validation following infrastructure changes and ensured that new or upgraded network components met defined technical and operational requirements.
n
Provided ongoing technical support, preventive maintenance, and performance optimisation to ensure secure, resilient, and highly available network infrastructure.
n
Participated in infrastructure projects from requirements analysis and solution design through implementation, testing, deployment, and post-implementation support.

Qualifications, Skills & Experience
n
n
Bachelor's degree or higher qualification in Information Technology, Computer Science or a related discipline; or
n
At least 2+ years of relevant experience
n
Demonstrated practical experience and/or relevant industry certifications demonstrating capability in network administration and support
n
Proven experience in network administration, IT support, or a similar infrastructure-focused role
n
Solid understanding of network environments, including configuration, maintenance and troubleshooting
n
Experience supporting users and resolving system or connectivity issues
n
Sound understanding of system security, access control and data protection practices
n
Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate documentation
n
Good organisational skills and the ability to manage competing tasks
n
Clear communication skills, with the ability to explain technical issues to non-technical users
n

Salary:
n
$96,000 per annum (excluding superannuation)
