Job Description
Deliver specialised nursing care across a diverse Medical Imaging service

Join the Medical Imaging team across Blacktown and Mount Druitt Hospitals, supporting patients throughout a broad range of inpatient and outpatient imaging services. You will be part of a collaborative multidisciplinary environment where safety, quality care and professional development are highly valued.

Work across a diverse range of imaging modalities and interventional procedures
n
Collaborate with nurses, radiographers, medical staff and the wider healthcare team
n
Support patients undergoing specialised diagnostic and interventional procedures
n
Promote culturally responsive, equitable and compassionate care for patients and carers
n
Contribute to a culture of continuous learning, clinical improvement and teamwork
n
What you'll be doing
n
As a Registered Nurse in Medical Imaging, you will provide safe, high-quality nursing care while supporting patients before, during and after imaging procedures.
n
Assess, plan, deliver and evaluate individualised patient-centred nursing care
n
Support patients undergoing CT, MRI, ultrasound, fluoroscopy and interventional procedures
n
Maintain accurate clinical documentation, including contrast reactions, patient history and incidents
n
Apply radiation safety principles to protect patients, carers and the healthcare team
n
Collaborate with the multidisciplinary team and elevate clinical concerns appropriately
n
Registration: Current registration as a Registered Nurse with Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (APHRA)
n

n
Demonstrated effective communication skills both written and verbal that build greater cooperation and confidence in care delivery.
n
Ability to work as a member of a multidisciplinary team and effective demonstration of interpersonal skills in initiating and leading junior members of the team.
n
Commitment to continuing career development.
n
Demonstrated ability to organise, prioritise work and initiative to work with minimal supervision.
n
Demonstrated ability to ensure patients, carers, and families are well informed, engaged and confident about their care and treatment, within the scope of a Registered Nurse.
n
Demonstrate critical thinking abilities, prioritisation and communication skills, whilst effectively following directions.
