About the program
The 24-month BHP Graduate Program starts in February ****, and brings people together to learn, build capability and gain confidence for the future. You'll build on the foundations you gained at university while developing skills that support a lifelong career.
From day one, you'll have structured onboarding, guided learning paths and support from your graduate cohort, your buddy and leaders who are passionate about helping you grow. You'll work on meaningful projects across resources, engineering, technology, decarbonisation and safe, sustainable operations, gaining hands on experience.
Graduates will rotate 2-4 times, to help build technical capabilities, working relationships with new people and leadership skills. You'll be guided by our leaders as you work on real projects, offering accelerated learning and career path opportunities.

Coursework is delivered in a combination of methods which include virtual workshops (with senior leader and graduate alumni participation), graduate workbook and a technical logbook. Plus, to continually build capabilities and professional development, you'll have "action learning periods" where you're given tasks to complete during your day-to-day work. This gives you the opportunity to share what you've learned within your designated group in discussions led by past Graduates.

What you'll experience as a BHP Graduate
Depending on your discipline and preferred location, your role may be based in a residential community, city office, or operate on a Fly in Fly out (FIFO) roster. Western Australia's Iron Ore assets are primarily FIFO, Queensland's Coal operations are largely residential, and South Australia's Copper Operations offer a mix of both. You can specify your preferred location when applying.
