We are looking for an experienced and reliable Construction Leading Hand / Foreman to join our team for ongoing work across multiple project locations throughout Sydney.
n
This is a hands-on role suited to someone who has strong construction experience, can lead a crew, coordinate site activities and ensure work is completed safely, efficiently and to a high standard.

THE ROLE
n
As a Leading Hand / Foreman, you will be responsible for overseeing day‐to‐day site activities and coordinating construction crews across a range of projects, including:
n
n
Supervising and coordinating construction crews
n
Planning and coordinating daily site activities
n
Pipework, machinery and steelwork installation
n
Reading and interpreting drawings and specifications
n
Coordinating trades, labourers and subcontractors
n
Ensuring works are completed safely, efficiently and to the required standard
n
Monitoring quality and progress of works
n
Providing direction and support to site personnel
n
Liaising with Project Managers and client representatives
n
Ensuring site safety requirements and procedures are followed
n
Identifying and resolving day‐to‐day site issues
n
Assisting with confined space work where required
n
Completing site documentation, pre‐starts and daily records
n
Working across various project locations throughout Sydney
n
Working in physically demanding and industrial environments
n
Limited overtime available
n

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR
n
The successful candidate will have:
n
n
Previous experience as a Leading Hand,



Foreman or Senior Tradesperson – Essential
n
White Card – Essential
n
Current Driver's Licence
n
Own reliable vehicle – Essential.
n
Strong construction and site‐based experience
n
Experience supervising and coordinating construction crews
n
Experience with pipework and/or steelwork installation
n
Ability to read and understand construction drawings
n
Good understanding of construction processes and sequencing
n
Strong commitment to workplace health and safety
n
Ability to manage multiple tasks and changing priorities
n
Good communication and leadership skills
n
Ability to work independently and make sound decisions on site
n
Strong problem‐solving skills
n
Confined Space Ticket – highly regarded
n
Working at Heights – highly regarded
n
First Aid – highly regarded
n
Previous experience working on wastewater and/or water infrastructure projects – highly regarded
n
Ability to work in physically demanding and dirty environments
n
Reliable attitude and strong work ethic
n
Must have full working rights to work in Australia
n
