We are seeking a
Customer Service/Managers Assistant
to join our team at Hastings St Bakery in Noosa Heads. This is a
casual position
that offers flexibility and the opportunity to be part of a dynamic hospitality environment. In this role, you will provide exceptional customer service whilst assisting management with day-to-day operations. You will be the friendly face of our bakery, ensuring every customer leaves with a smile, whilst supporting the team to maintain our high standards of service and efficiency.
Key responsibilities
Greet customers warmly and provide efficient, courteous service at the counter
Process customer transactions accurately using our point-of-sale system
Assist with taking orders and answering customer inquiries about our products and offerings
Support management with operational tasks such as stock rotation, display management and cleanliness standards
Handle customer complaints professionally and elevate issues to management when necessary
Maintain a clean and organised customer-facing area at all times
Assist with light administrative duties as directed by management
Support team members to ensure smooth service during busy periods
Collaborate with the bakery team to ensure product availability and presentation standards are met
What we're looking for
Previous experience in customer service or hospitality roles is highly desirable
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with a genuine passion for helping others
Ability to remain calm and professional in a quick-paced environment
Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
Basic proficiency with point-of-sale systems or willingness to learn quickly
A positive, friendly demeanour and genuine interest in delivering exceptional service
Flexibility to work casual hours, including weekends and peak periods
Reliability and punctuality in meeting scheduled shifts
Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
Food handling knowledge or willingness to obtain certification is an advantage
