We are seeking an experienced and highly organised Transport Allocator to join our client in their busy logistics and transport team based in Minchinbury. In this rapid-paced role, you will be responsible for coordinating daily transport operations, allocating drivers and vehicles, and ensuring customer deliveries are completed safely, efficiently, and on time.

Key Responsibilities

Plan and allocate daily transport runs across metropolitan and regional deliveries.
n
Coordinate drivers, vehicles, and routes to maximise efficiency and utilisation.
n
Monitor delivery schedules and proactively manage delays or operational issues.
n
Maintain regular communication with drivers, customers, and internal stakeholders.
n
Ensure compliance with Chain of Responsibility (CoR), NHVR regulations, and company policies.
n
Manage and update transport management systems and delivery documentation.
n
Investigate and resolve customer service issues relating to deliveries and collections.
n
Support continuous improvement initiatives within transport operations.

Assist with driver scheduling, fleet utilisation, and operational reporting.

About You
n
n
Previous experience as a Transport Allocator, Transport Coordinator, Fleet Coordinator, or similar logistics role.
n
Strong knowledge of transport operations, route planning, and scheduling.
n
Understanding of Chain of Responsibility (CoR) requirements and transport legislation.
n
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
n
Strong problem-solving abilities and the capacity to make decisions in a fast-paced environment.
n
High attention to detail and strong organisational skills.
n
Experience using Transport Management Systems (TMS) and Microsoft Office applications.
n
Ability to work collaboratively within a team while managing competing priorities.
