AppleBerries Early Education is seeking an experienced and passionate Early Childhood Educator - Diploma Qualified Educators to join our team in Kallangur.
We have permanent part-time positions offering flexibility whilst maintaining the quality and continuity of care our families expect.
You will be responsible for creating a nurturing, developmentally appropriate learning environment, working collaboratively with our team to deliver exceptional early education experiences that foster children's growth, confidence and love of learning.
This role is pivotal in shaping the early years experiences of our youngest learners.
Key responsibilities
Planning and implementing engaging, developmentally appropriate activities and learning experiences
Create a safe, inclusive and stimulating environment that promotes children's physical, social, emotional and cognitive development
Maintain accurate and timely observations and assessments of each child's progress and development
Communicate regularly with families about their child's learning, development and wellbeing, building solid partnerships
Supervise and mentor support staff and educators within the service, providing guidance and support
Implement and maintain duty of care, health, safety and hygiene standards in accordance with legislation and centre policies
Collaborate with the broader early education team to ensure continuity of care and learning across the centre
Manage transitions and support children's emotional needs as they move between age groups or into kindergarten
Maintain detailed records, incident reports and documentation as required by regulatory standards
Contribute to continuous professional development and stay current with best practice in early childhood education
What we're looking for




A Diploma of Early Childhood Education and Care (or equivalent qualification recognised by the regulatory body)
Current Working with Children Check clearance
Current First Aid and CPR certification appropriate for early childhood settings
Demonstrated experience working with pre-kindy aged children in a centre-based setting
Strong knowledge of early childhood development and learning frameworks
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with children, families and staff
Ability to lead and inspire a team whilst maintaining a collaborative approach
Experience with observation, assessment and documentation practices
Commitment to inclusive practices and supporting children with diverse needs
Flexibility, resilience and a genuine passion for early childhood education
Knowledge of current regulatory requirements and standards in early childhood education
