We are seeking a agile and talented Grid Engineer to join a leading developer of BESS projects here in Australia who have a very strong pipeline of exciting projects that are at various lifecycle stages. This is an exciting opportunity for someone passionate about integrating cutting-edge tools and methodologies to solve complex challenges within the energy sector.
Responsibilities n
n
Lead technical engagements with consultants on GPS and feasibility studies
n
Coordinating the R0, R1 and R2 testing processes and liaising with AEMO, NSPs, and key stakeholders
n
Reviewing EPC and supplier agreements to mitigate grid-related risks
n
Effectively communicate with grid consultants, Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEMs), internal management, Network Service Providers and AEMO to progress projects through the grid connection process
n
Serve as a subject matter expert on grid connection and other electrical engineering matters,



providing guidance and mentorship to junior team members and other
n
Qualifications n
n
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field
n
Proven experience with grid modeling software - PSCAD, PSSE, and PowerFactory
n
Strong understanding of power systems engineering concepts, including generation, transmission, and distribution networks
n
Knowledge of National Electricity Rules and process to connect to the National Electricity Market
n
Practical experience in power system engineering, including connection applications and commissioning
n
Effective communication skills, with the ability to present findings to both technical and non-technical stakeholders
n
A passion for innovative solutions in energy management and grid optimisation
n
