Patrician Brothers' College, Blacktown is seeking a skilled and passionate
Secondary Mathematics Teacher
to join its dedicated teaching team in a permanent full-time position commencing in
October ****, or by negotiation

The ability to teach
Mathematics Extension 1 and Extension 2
is highly desirable. The capacity to teach
Religious Education
would also be an advantage.
The Successful Candidate Will n
Deliver engaging and contemporary Mathematics lessons across Years 7–12.
n
Demonstrate strong curriculum knowledge and effective classroom practice.
n
Challenge and support students to achieve their personal best.
n
Use evidence-informed teaching strategies to improve student growth and achievement.
n
Encourage mathematical reasoning, problem-solving and critical thinking.
n
Create a safe, inclusive and high-expectations learning environment.
n
Cater effectively for students with diverse learning needs and abilities.
n
Work collaboratively with colleagues and contribute positively to faculty initiatives.
n
Build respectful relationships with students, families and colleagues.
n
Contribute to the academic, pastoral, spiritual and co-curricular life of the College.

Qualifications & Accreditations n
The successful candidate will:
n
Hold recognised tertiary qualifications in Secondary Education, with approval to teach Mathematics.
n
Hold current NESA accreditation or be eligible to obtain accreditation.
n
Demonstrate strong knowledge of the secondary Mathematics curriculum.
n
Have the ability to teach Mathematics Extension 1 and Extension 2, or the capability and interest to develop in this area.
n
Hold a valid Working with Children Check.
n
Be committed to supporting the Catholic ethos and mission of the College.
n
The capacity to teach Religious Education would be advantageous.
