Programmed are currently seeking an experienced Stainless Steel TIG Welder to join their workshop team in Penrith.
The successful candidate will be responsible for TIG welding stainless steel components and fabricating quality products to engineering specifications.
This role would suit a Welder/Fabricator who has strong TIG experience and takes pride in producing clean, high-quality welds.
Key Responsibilities
TIG weld stainless steel components to a high standard.
Fabricate and assemble stainless steel components and structures.
Read and interpret engineering drawings and welding specifications.
Set up and operate TIG welding equipment.
Complete preparation, fit-up, tacking and welding of components.
Grind, clean and finish welds where required.
Measure and inspect completed work to ensure it meets specifications.
Use hand and power tools safely and effectively.
Work with other tradespeople and workshop staff to complete projects.
Maintain a clean and organised work area.
Follow all WHS procedures and welding safety requirements.
About You
To be successful, you will have:
Proven experience as a TIG Welder, preferably working with stainless steel.
Strong stainless steel welding experience.
Ability to produce clean, high-quality TIG welds.
Experience reading engineering drawings.
Robust fabrication and fit-up skills.
Good attention to detail.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Strong commitment to workplace safety.
Relevant welding qualifications and tickets highly regarded.
