What you will do
As Support Officer, Victim Registers, you will provide support to victims of crime.
You will combine careful administration with sensitive and respectful communication.
You will:
respond tosensitivetelephone and written enquiries from victims of crime
prepareclearcorrespondence and reports and provide information about victim services
maintainaccuraterecords and databases while protecting confidential information
completecarefulassessments to determine eligibility and identify support needs
communicate with victims in arespectfuland trauma-informed way to reduce further distress
About you
A relevant tertiary qualification or experience in social work, criminal justice or a similar field is highly desirable.
You should have experience supporting people with sensitive and complex needs.
You should also have:
soundknowledge of the criminal justice and victim service systems
practicalexperience providing direct support to people with complex needs
goodunderstanding of family violence and the services available to victims




strongcomputer skills and the ability to manage confidential information accurately
