We are seeking an experiencedSafety Partnerto join our Safety, Health & Environment team, supporting a major project. This is a unique opportunity to work across bothsite-based FIFO operationsandAdelaide-based corporate support, partnering closely with leaders to drive safety performance in a high-risk setting.
About the Role
Reporting to thePrincipal Safety Partner, you will play a key role in supporting the delivery of safety initiatives, providing hands-on safety partnering, and ensuring strong governance and assurance outcomes across the project.
This role will be on a5:2 / 4:3 arrangement:
Monday–Friday:FIFO, site-based (Pt Pirie, Pimba, Carrapateena, Olympic Dam & Prominent Hill)
Monday–Thursday:Adelaide-based at Pt Adelaide Berth 29 (with 1 day at Keswick Office)

Key Responsibilities
Partner with leaders to implement safety initiatives aligned to organisational and project objectives
Provide practical safety advice, coaching and support to operational teams
Support leaders in building a strong safety and wellbeing culture
Facilitate and track safety action plans and continuous improvement initiatives
Participate in multi-disciplinary project teams, ensuring compliance with safety change management processes
Undertake safety governance activities and monitor compliance with legislative and company requirements
Conduct frontline audits and provide SHE assurance and due diligence support
Support contractor management by conducting pre-qualifications and ongoing audits
Lead, coach and mentor the development of Health & Safety risk assessments
Participate in, and where required lead, incident and event investigations
Prepare safety reports for internal and external stakeholders

About You
You are a proactive and confident safety professional with experience working in high-risk, operational environments, and you are comfortable engaging with stakeholders at all levels.
Mandatory / Preferred Qualifications & Experience:




Cert IV in Workplace Health and Safety (mandatory)
Minimum 2 years' experience in safety management within a high-risk industry
Strong working knowledge of WHS legislation and regulatory requirements
ICAM Investigation Training (preferred)
Auditor qualifications (preferred)

Risk assessment and risk management expertise
Experience delivering safety-related projects
Ability to manage complexity and work collaboratively in fast-paced environments
