Supported Independent Living (SIL) Coordinator
n
Expressions of interest are invited for the role of SIL Coordinator to coordinate the day to day operations of Multitask residences in the Northern Rivers Region NSW, maintain a person-centred culture and support the provision of quality services. This role involves a balance of
administration/supervisory
duties and direct disability support work.
n
The role is classified as Level 4 of the SCHCDS Award $*****ph. As a Not-For-Profit, we can offer opportunities to salary sacrifice which can increase your take home pay.

Role criteria:

Candidates should address the following criteria:
n
Qualifications
n
Certificate IV Disability Services or other equivalent/higher experience or qualifications
n
A current First Aid Certificate (or willingness to obtain before commencing employment)
n
A current NDIS Worker Check (or willingness to obtain before commencing employment)
n
Interpersonal skills and experience
n
Robust communication skills and capacity to collaborate as part of a diverse team.
n
Demonstrated ability to problem-solve and use initiative.
n
Ability to work autonomously,



know when to seek help and ability to utilise time effectively
n
Professional skills and experience
n
Experience supervising staff and the ability to implement staff training and development, manage performance and ensure adherence to policies and procedures
n
Experience with supporting people in areas such as personal care, health and wellbeing, active community participation and skill development.
n
Demonstrated administrative ability; including budget management, rostering of staff and maintenance of records.
n
Knowledge of contemporary approaches such as person centered planning and active support.
n
Thorough understanding and commitment to NDIS Practice Standards Work Health and Safety and Equal Opportunity.
n
Computer literate: intermediate competency with the Microsoft Suite & be competent in data entry.
n
