Job Description
We are seeking an experienced and motivated Civil Project Engineer to join our team and play a key role in the successful delivery of civil infrastructure projects. This is a hands‐on position suited to an engineer who enjoys working both on‐site and in the office, with responsibility across project planning, cost control, procurement, quality, safety, documentation and day‐to‐day project coordination.

Key responsibilities

Review and interpret contracts, plans, specifications and project scopes.
n
Attend project sites, coordination meetings and management meetings.
n
Assist with project planning, programming, budgeting, forecasting and cost control.
n
Prepare project documentation, including Safe Work Method Statements (SWMS), work methodologies and project packs.
n
Prepare and maintain WHS, Quality Assurance and Environmental documentation.
n
Complete material take-offs and obtain, assess and negotiate supplier and subcontractor quotations.
n
Prepare and raise purchase orders and assist with procurement.
n
Coordinate the onboarding of plant, labour and subcontractors, including inductions and plant approvals.
n
Assist with surveying and setting out works as required.
n
Coordinate plant, labour,



materials and subcontractors to achieve efficient project delivery.

About you
n
n
Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering.
n
Minimum 5 years relevant work experience.
n
Sydney Water project experience will be highly regarded.
n
Strong understanding of civil construction methodologies, project documentation and contract requirements.
n
Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, specifications and contracts.
n
Experience with project costing, procurement, progress claims and variations.
n
Strong organisational and time‐management skills.
n
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
n
Ability to work independently while also contributing effectively to a project team.
