Job Description
GPG Dental is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Dental Assistant to join our team at our Eight-Mile Plains practice in Queensland. This is a full-time position where you will play a vital role in supporting our dental professionals and ensuring our patients receive exceptional care in a welcoming and professional environment. As a Dental Assistant, you will be instrumental in maintaining our high standards of patient care and clinic operations, working alongside our experienced dental team to deliver outstanding dental services.

What you'll be doing

Assisting dentists during patient examinations, treatments and surgical procedures
n
Preparing treatment rooms and sterilising dental instruments according to infection control protocols
n
Taking and processing dental radiographs (X-rays) under supervision
n
Providing chairside support to ensure smooth and effective procedures
n
Recording patient information and maintaining accurate dental records
n
Managing patient flow and scheduling appointments
n
Educating patients on oral hygiene and post-treatment care
n
Maintaining a clean, hygienic and organised dental environment
n
Assisting with inventory management and ordering dental supplies
n
Supporting the reception area and front-of-house operations as needed
n

What we're looking for
n
n
Completion of a recognised Dental Assistant qualification or equivalent training
n
Current registration with the Dental Board of Australia (or eligibility to register)
n
Knowledge of infection control and sterilisation procedures in a dental setting
n




Strong communication skills and a professional, friendly demeanour
n
Excellent attention to detail and organisational abilities
n
Ability to work effectively as part of a team in a fast-paced setting
n
Physical capability to stand for extended periods and assist patients with mobility
n
Proficiency with dental practice management software (desirable)
n
Current First Aid and CPR certification (or willingness to obtain)
n
A genuine passion for providing quality patient care and supporting positive dental health outcomes
