About the Role
n
Exciting opportunities exist for passionate, caring and qualified Health Assistants (Nursing) to join our dynamic team at St Vincent's Hospital Melbourne. You will work in collaboration with a multi-disciplinary ward team, under the direction and supervision of the Nurse Unit Manager (NUM) or equivalent, and will make a positive contribution to patient care through assistance and support to our Registered and Enrolled Nurses.

You will also:
n
n
Contribute to positive patient outcomes by ensuring all elements of supervised or delegated work is completed accurately and in accordance with St Vincent's policies and procedures
n
Participate in delegated aspects of patient care, including but not limited to assistance with: personal hygiene, nutritional needs, mobility, transfers and positioning within the ward,elimination needs
n
Ensure patient privacy and dignity is maintained at all times
n
n
Classifications for this position will range between IN37 - IN39 ($59,******- $68,******per annum, pro rata).
n
Your Contribution
n
As a qualified Health Assistant (Nursing), you will bring strong interpersonal skills and an ability to effectively communicate with staff, patients and families to the role. You will be a reliable team player, who enjoys working within a multidisciplinary team and is available to work a minimum of one shift per 3 calendar months.
n
You will also have:
n
n
Certificate III Health Assistant (Nursing) or second year undergraduate nursing student (Bachelor/Masters of Nursing) equivalent
n
Current National Criminal History check,
or willing to obtain
n
Current National Disability Insurance Scheme check, or willing to obtain
n
n
