Trainee Community Support Worker (St George & Inner West)

We are seeking Trainee (not qualified) Community Care Workers to work with aged care clients across the Greater Sydney area, including:
n
St George (Hurstville, Rockdale, St George)
n
This role is for those WHO DON'T hold a industry recognised qualfication, who would like to be paid to study and work. The traineeship is for ******* months, where you receive training with real clients in their homes, and are paid to attend training and study days to complete a Certificate III in Individual Support (CHC*****) - Aged Care.
n
You will be hired within your local area and willing to travel up to 25 minutes to see clients.
n
You will be trained to deliver services to various services to clients in their homes.
n
Key responsibilities
n
Domestic Assistance (vacuuming, mopping, changing sheets, surface cleaning of living areas)
n
Shopping, completing weekly/fortnightly shopping for the client
n
Transportation, taking clients to and from appointments in the community
n
Personal Care (showering, dressing, grooming)
n
Respite and Social Support
n
Ability to listen, build a rapport, and work with a range of clients and other staff
n
About you
n
Have a outstanding attitude
n




Be reliable and have clear communication skills
n
Want to work with the elderly in their home
n
Have a willingness to learn and work
n
Ability to obtain and pass a clear National Police Check
n
Hold a current NSW Driver's licence, have a reliable vehicle, and have full comprehensive insurance
n
Be an AU/NZ Citizen or Permanent Resident to access funding to complete the accredited training course and traineeship
n
Have regular availability, minimum 3 regular/consistent days per week (Monday to Friday)
n
Be fit and healthy, be able to complete a variety of tasks, and pass a fitness/health assessment
n
Desire to care for and help the elderly
n
Hold a current First Aid & CPR certificate or be willing to obtain.
n
Live within 10km of one of the mentioned regions/areas.
