Locum Paediatrics Doctor
to support overnight paediatrics roster coverage.
This role is suited to a doctor with recent paediatrics or relevant hospital experience who is confident reviewing paediatric patients, completing clinical documentation, supporting management plans and escalating care appropriately when required.
You will provide paediatrics cover within Nepean Blue Mountains LHD.
Overnight paediatrics cover
– support paediatric patients across the night shift
Resident, Registrar or CMO level
– suitable for doctors with relevant paediatrics experience
Clinical review focus
– assist with patient reviews, documentation and management plans
Supportive environment
– work with medical, nursing and hospital teams
Escalation pathways
– elevate clinical concerns appropriately to senior medical staff

Patient Demographic
You will support a paediatric patient mix, including infants,



children and adolescents requiring clinical review, assessment, documentation, management planning, escalation or ongoing care.
Key Duties
Provide paediatrics clinical cover across the rostered shift
Review and manage paediatric patients within scope
Complete clinical documentation and handover
Assist with management plans and patient flow
Escalate patient concerns appropriately
Work collaboratively with medical, nursing and hospital teams
Requirements
Current AHPRA Registration
Recent paediatrics or relevant hospital experience
Resident, Registrar or CMO-level experience considered
Robust communication and clinical documentation skills
Ability to work safely within scope and elevate appropriately
Current CV, references and compliance documents as required
