Morgan Conley is a boutique law firm located in the Brisbane CBD with a thriving commercial, litigation and insolvency practice. We operate a collaborative practice, and you will have the opportunity to work with and learn from each of our four directors.

We are conveniently located in 15 Adelaide Street, with easy access to the Queen Street Mall and public transport. The building includes end-of-trip facilities including showers, lockers and secure bike racks.

About the role
n
The role is predominantly focused on commercial transactions and property law, but the successful applicant will also have the opportunity to be involved in litigation if they desire.
n
Your duties will include:
n
Commercial Transactions: Advise on business sales and acquisitions, business structuring, shareholder arrangements, joint ventures, partnerships, and commercial contracts.
n
Commercial Advisory: Provide practical legal advice to business clients on governance, legislative compliance, risk management, and strategic commercial matters.
n
Business Structuring & Asset Protection: Assist clients with structuring and protecting their commercial interests and assets.
n
Commercial Agreements: Draft and negotiate a wide range of commercial documents, including service agreements, supply agreements,



guarantees, and security documents.
n
Property Transactions: Support commercial clients on property-related matters, including leasing, acquisitions, disposals, and development projects.
n
Leasing: Advise on and negotiate commercial and retail leases, including rent reviews, renewal rights, assignments, and exit arrangements.
n

About you
n
You should be a solicitor admitted to practice in Queensland, with ideally 3 to 5 years PAE.
n
The successful candidate will need to be self-motivated, confident, reliable and willing to work as part of a close-knit team.
n
Ideal background and skills include:
n
Experience in commercial and property law;
n
Excellent verbal and written communication skills;
n
Robust time management and organisational skills together with the capacity to manage multiple tasks and conflicting priorities simultaneously;
n
Be a self-starter with the ability to work autonomously;
n
Strong attention to detail.
