Who are we looking for?

We are seeking a talented and passionate Technical Director - Engagement and Communication to help shape and deliver strategic initiatives across complex infrastructure, environmental, and energy projects.
n
Join GHD's growing engagement services area and collaborate with communication and engagement consultants across Australia to help deliver GHD's vision of creating lasting community benefit.
n

Working with a supportive, high-performing team, you will contribute to a variety of projects and have the opportunity to develop your technical and commercial capabilities through:
n
n
Developing and implementing stakeholder and community engagement strategies and plans across GHD's diverse projects
n
Managing and successfully delivering complex projects for clients, with support as you grow into the broader responsibilities of the role
n
Building trusted relationships with existing clients and contributing to new areas of growth
n
Identifying opportunities and helping develop clear, compelling proposals with guidance from experienced colleagues
n
Contributing to team-oriented, high-performing teams and consistently delivering quality outcomes
n




Sharing practical insights, lessons and ideas that strengthen engagement and communication practice
n
Growing your influence as a technical practitioner by sharing knowledge, supporting colleagues and role modelling GHD behaviours
n
Contributing ideas and technical perspectives that help shape GHD's strategic direction
n
n
What you'll bring:
n
n
7 to 10 years' experience delivering engagement and communication outcomes, with the ambition and readiness to grow into a senior technical role
n
Formal qualifications in a Social
Science/Communications/Commerce
degree or a related field, or equivalent transferable experience
n
A strong commitment to client service and quality delivery
n
Strong organisational and problem-solving skills, with the flexibility to respond to changing project needs
n
Excellent writing skills and the ability to create high-quality content for different audiences and channels
n
Strong interpersonal skills and the confidence to communicate respectfully with community members, clients and other stakeholders
n
The ability to work independently when needed and collaboratively as part of a team
n
Sound judgement, curiosity and a willingness to learn
n
