Mercy Community is seeking a dedicated Family Response Facilitator to join our Family and Child Connect (FaCC) team in Browns Plains on a Full-Time fixed term contract until June ****.
n
Salary (SCHADS L4) + superannuation + salary packaging.
n

This role involves but not limited to -
n
n
Engage with individuals, families, service providers and members of the community
n
Gather sufficient information to inform an assessment of the family and identify service responses to meet these identified needs
n
Consult with the PCPP, Domestic and Family Violence Specialist and First Nations Specialist roles as necessary to assess safety and risk factors and ensure cultural safety
n
Provide information, advice, referrals, and linkages to relevant services based on assessed needs
n
Engage with families with multiple high-level needs through outreach, providing active case management and brief interventions
n

About you
n
As the successful applicant, you will possess:
n
n
Bachelor (minimum) Degree in Child Protection, Human Services, Social Work, Psychology, or a related discipline from a recognised institution.
n
Experience in strengths-based casework with complex families,



alongside experience in identifying and addressing child protection concerns.
n
Experience in assessing the needs of families and completing safety and risk assessments.
n
Understanding of the child protection system, and issues impacting upon vulnerable families, including but not limited to substance misuse; domestic and family violence; mental health; impacts of trauma; homelessness.
n
Current and valid Provisional Green or above Drivers Licence
n
Current and valid Paid Blue Card (Queensland Working with Children Check) or ability to apply
n
Evidence of current vaccination against whooping cough (or willingness to obtain prior to commencement)
n
