Healthwise is a total health clinic promoting health and wellbeing via Osteopathy services at two locations in Sydney.
The Front Desk Receptionist is the heartbeat of Healthwise, the first and last person a patient sees.
The role is vitally important in ensuring staff are friendly and professional.
The Front Desk Staff look after patients' needs and are responsible for maintaining the practice's image through careful application of the practice's procedures, working with other team members and the office manager to keep the practice running at its best.
Attention to detail is imperative.
The Front Desk Staff are also partly responsible for the physical maintenance of the practice including practice housekeeping, opening and closing the practice, regulating air conditioning and ventilation, watering plants and keeping rooms stocked of supplies.
Key responsibilities
Greeting and liaising with patients and all other callers in a professional and friendly manner
Monitoring and controlling the computer appointment book
Processing payments and generating computer based receipts, accounts, patient records




Balancing end of day takings, maintaining cash float
Generating letters and other documents on behalf of practitioners
Typing of general correspondence, word processing and other computer skills
Organising X-ray referrals
General tidying of the office and reception desk
About you
Previous experience working in a reception role, ideally within a health practice
Excellent communication skills and phone manner
Experience with Medicare, HiCaps, Workcover and DVA desirable
Ability to work as part of a team but also independently and autonomously
Accuracy, attention to detail, organisation, time management and problem-solving skills
Ability to work under pressure with a mature work ethic and solid organisational skills
Available to work at both locations (North Sydney or Eastwood)
