We are looking for an experienced and organisedAccounts Receivable professionalto join our finance team on a part-time basis located in our Sydney CBD office.
This role will ideally suit someone looking to work4 days per week, or aschool parentseeking a flexible arrangement to work 5 days during school hours.
The position will initially be part-time, with the potential for the role todevelop into a permanent full time positionfor the right person, depending on business needs and mutual suitability.
The successful candidate will take ownership of ourAccounts Receivable function, including the timely preparation of invoices, obtaining internal approvals to issue invoices, issuing, logging and tracking of invoices, timesheet administration, project start-up documentation, debtor follow-up and general receivables management.
Key Responsibilities
Manage the end-to-endAccounts Receivable process
Prepare and issue client invoices accurately and within agreed billing time lines




Monitor and follow up outstanding invoices and actively managedebtor collections
Maintain accurate aged receivables reports and provide progressive weekly updates on overdue accounts with full history of actions taken
Follow up with matter managers and internal stakeholders regarding billing and outstanding information
Review and managetimesheet informationrequired for invoicing
Set up and maintainproject start-up sheetsand ensure all required billing information is accurately included and available
Advise matter managers on a weekly basis amounts received by matter
Trace receipts to bank accounts and identify any discrepancies in payment as compared to invoiced amounts
Ensure supporting documentation is complete and appropriately filed
Assist with WIP and billing-related reconciliations
Respond to client queries relating to invoices and payments
Assist withaudit requests and supporting documentation
Assist with month-end and year-end Accounts Receivable activities
Provide general finance support and undertake otherad hoc Accounts Receivable-related tasksas required
About You
We are looking for someone who:
Has previous experience inAccounts Receivable / Finance
Is confident managing invoicing and debtor follow-up independently
Has excellent attention to detail and strong organisational skills
Is comfortable communicating with both clients and internal stakeholders
Can manage competing priorities and meet billing deadlines
Has valuable Excel and accounting system skills
Is proactive, reliable and able to take ownership of their responsibilities




Takes accountability and responsibility for making a success of the role
Good interpersonal skills
Holds qualifications appropriate to the role
Previous experience in a professional services, engineering or construction environment would be advantageous

This position is ideally4 days per week, however, we are also open to discussing a5-day school-hours arrangementfor the right candidate.
This opportunity may particularly suit aschool parent or someone seeking a better work-life balance, while still wanting to contribute meaningfully to a qualified finance team.
Potential for Permanent Full time
While the role is initially being offered on apart-time basis, there is potential for it to develop into apermanent full-time positionfor the right candidate as the business and role requirements evolve.
We are therefore open to candidates who are initially seeking part-time flexibility but may be interested in progressing to full-time employment in the future.
