Job Description
Lead,coachand shape the future of driver training at NRMA.

We're looking for an experienced people leader to join our Driver Training team as a Team Leader – Driver Training, leading a workforce of trainers and instructors delivering Driver Training, Safer Drivers Course (SDC)andsupporttheCorporateDriver Training (CDT) programs across NSW.
This is an exciting opportunity for a hands‐on leader who enjoys developing people, drivingoperationalexcellenceanddelivering exceptional customer outcomes,whilemaintainingstrongsafety and compliance standards.
What You'll Do
As Team Leader – Driver Training,you'llplay a critical role in translating operational strategy into frontline execution by:
Leading,coachinganddeveloping a team of drivinginstructors,facilitatorsandtrainers.
Supporting workforcecapability,engagementandperformance through coaching, ride-alongsand development activities.
Support coordinating day-to-day delivery of Driver Training, Safer Drivers Course and Corporate Driver Training programs.
Ensuringhigh standardsofsafety,compliance,andservice quality across all training activities.
Using performance data and operational insights to drive continuous improvement operationalefficiencyandutilization.




Partnering with internal stakeholders to ensure workforce resources align with customer demand and business priorities.
This role offers a balance of leadership and operational involvement, with opportunities to remain connected to the customer experience through the delivery of training programs whenrequired.
Company Vehicle
A branded NRMA vehicle will be provided and assigned to the Team Leader for business use.
Weekend Availability
Weekend work is an essential requirementforthis role.
Ideally, the successful candidate will be available to work both weekend days either every weekend or every second weekend.
We understand that flexibility is key and are happy to discuss alternative arrangements with the right candidate to ensure operational requirements are met.
What You'll Bring
We'relooking for someone who can lead from the front and inspire high performance throughcollaboration,coachingandaccountability.
Essential Experience
Experience leading operational, training,education,logisticsorservice delivery teams.
Certificate IV in Transport and Logistics (Road Transport – Car Driving Instruction)
Demonstrated people leadership experience with a strong focus on coaching andcapabilitydevelopment.
+5years
Experience managing workforceperformance,utilisation,schedulingandoperational delivery.
Strong understanding ofsafety,complianceandrisk management in a regulated environment.




Abilitytoanalyseperformancedata and translate insights into action.
Excellent stakeholdermanagement,communicationandproblem-solving skills.
Current Class C DriverLicencewith a satisfactory driving record.
Current NSW Driving InstructorLicence.
Current NSWWorkingWithChildrenCheck.
Highly Regarded
Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (TAE).
Experience within driver training, transport, fieldoperationsor workplace learning environments.
Experience supporting workforce planning,operationalimprovementorbusiness transformation initiatives.
Exposure todigital learning platforms or technology-enabled training solutions.
