Freestyle Air Conditioning is seeking a skilled and experiencedAir Conditioning Technicianto join our growing team in Newcastle, NSW.
This is afull-time positionbased in Newcastle NSW ****, offering an exciting opportunity to work with leading air conditioning and refrigeration systems.
You will be at the forefront of delivering high-quality installation, maintenance, and repair services to our valued commercial and residential clients.
This role is integral to maintaining our reputation for excellence and ensuring customer satisfaction across the Newcastle region.
Key responsibilities
Install, service, and repair air conditioning and refrigeration systems for residential, commercial and industrial clients
Diagnose technical faults and perform preventative maintenance on air conditioning units and associated equipment
Conduct safety inspections and ensure all work complies with relevant legislation and industry standards
Read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints and system specifications
Test system performance and carry out necessary adjustments to optimise efficiency
Maintain detailed records of all work completed and provide clients with comprehensive reports
Respond promptly to emergency call-outs and provide reliable customer service
Work safely with refrigerants and other hazardous materials in compliance with environmental regulations
Collaborate with team members and support the delivery of projects on time and to specification
What we're looking for
CurrentF-Gas or equivalent refrigeration certificationand relevant qualifications in air conditioning and refrigeration
Minimum3-5 years' experienceas an air conditioning technician or refrigeration engineer




Strong knowledge of air conditioning systems, components and troubleshooting procedures
Proficiency in reading technical diagrams, schematics and system manuals
Valid driver's licence and willingness to travel throughout the Newcastle region
Physical fitness and ability to work at heights and in confined spaces safely
Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
Strong communication skills and commitment to outstanding customer service
Experience with commercial refrigeration systems is highly desirable
