Australian Drafting & Design is seeking an experiencedAutoCAD / Inventor Drafterfor a full time contract role with an established client in Brisbane.
The position will involve preparing, updating and modifyingmechanical, fabrication and manufacturing drawings, as well as assisting with new designs and drawing revisions.
The work will include producing detailed fabrication drawings, updating existing drawings, preparing documentation for manufacture and creatingDXF filesfor suppliers.
The ideal candidate will have:
StrongAutoCAD and Autodesk Inventorexperience
Mechanical or fabrication drafting experience
Experience withsheet metal and fabricated components
Ability to prepare accurate manufacturing and fabrication drawings
Experience creating and exportingDXF files
Good understanding of workshop and fabrication practices
Strong attention to detail
Ability to work independently and communicate effectively with engineers and project personnel
Experience withinmining, heavy industry, mechanical equipment, fabrication or machinerywould be highly regarded.
The role offers aflexible working arrangement for Brisbane-based candidates, depending on experience and project requirements.
The position is initially for6 months, with strong potential for ongoing work.
