This is an exciting opportunity to combine your leadership skills, strategic thinking and communication expertise in a role that supports high-profile work across the QBCC.
n
In this role, you will:
n
n
Lead, coach and support a team of four communication professionals working across internal and external communications and events
n
Plan and deliver complex communication projects and external campaigns
n
Manage the work program and priorities of a busy, high-volume team
n
Provide strategic communication advice to senior leaders and stakeholders across the QBCC
n
Monitor, evaluate and report on the performance of communication activities
n
Review communication materials and provide quality assurance to ensure consistency and corporate brand alignment
n
Work with external agencies and media providers to deliver external communication campaigns
n
Contribute to critical incident and crisis communication activities.
n
n
This position is based in Brisbane. While the role allows for flexibility in working from home, regular in-person attendance at the Brisbane office is a mandatory requirement.

You are a confident and supportive leader who can set clear priorities, coach others and maintain quality in a fast-moving setting. You understand how to balance strategic communication needs with day-to-day delivery and can turn complex information into clear, purposeful communication.

To be successful, you will bring:
n
n




Significant experience leading and coaching a communications team, or comparable leadership experience in a related field
n
Experience managing internal and external communications platforms, such as intranets, websites or marketing platforms
n
Demonstrated experience developing and delivering complex, multi-channel communications projects
n
Experience monitoring and reporting on the performance of communications activities
n
The ability to provide clear and practical strategic communications advice to senior leaders.
n

Highly regarded experience:
n
n
Managing reputational risk and crisis incident communications
n
Facilitating government advertising approvals
n
Leading internal and/or external event delivery
n
Qualifications in communications, marketing, journalism, public relations or a related field.
