This is a hands-on position working across the bistro kitchen at Brycees Tavern, a local pub and bistro.
You will prepare and cook traditional pub and bistro meals, working in a busy kitchen environment to deliver consistent, quality meals to customers.
Key responsibilities
Preparing and cooking traditional pub and bistro meals
Food preparation and service
Maintaining consistent presentation, portioning and quality
Working efficiently during busy lunch and dinner services
Maintaining food safety, hygiene and kitchen cleanliness standards
Stock rotation and minimising food waste
Assisting with deliveries and kitchen organisation
Working closely with the kitchen and front-of-house teams
Assisting with opening and closing kitchen procedures
About you
Experience working as a Cook, Chef or experienced kitchen all-rounder
Confidence working across grill, fryer and food preparation
Ability to work independently when required
Ability to remain organised during busy services




Good understanding of food safety and kitchen hygiene
Robust reliability and punctuality
A positive, practical and team-focused attitude
Availability for a mixture of weekday, evening and weekend shifts
Formal cookery qualifications are an advantage, but experienced cooks with strong practical skills are welcome
Casual or part time position
