Currently, we have vacancies in Toowoomba for experienced Disability Support Workers to join our team working with participantsboth 1:1 and in SILand SDAhousing.
n
The Position
n
Disability Support Workers provide domestic assistance, personal care, transport, positive health and well being opportunities and support our NDISparticipantsto achieve their goals.
n
Thesupports andserviceswe provide to our participants are:
n
n
Daily personal care assistance
n
Domestic supports including cleaning, washing and cooking
n
Community access and transport
n
Active overnight awake shifts / sleepover night shifts
n
n
Required Qualifications and Experience
n
n
Willing to work some sleepovers is a must
n
Minimum Certificate III or higher in Disability or Individual Support, Aged Care or Nursing, or currently or willing to enroll
n
PEG, Quality of Life Feeds, and stoma care experience highly desirable
n




Able to work some 1:1 active overnight shifts each week
n
Valid driver's licence
n
Own registered, comprehensively insured vehicle
n
Current First Aid and CPR Certificate or willing to obtain before commencement
n
Experience in manual and mechanical hoist use
n
NDIS Worker Screening Clearance or Current Yellow Card
n
Working with Children Blue Card
n
Have completed the NDIS Worker Orientation Module (Quality Safety and You) or willingness to complete prior to commencing
n
Have the willingness to
supportparticipantswith
personal care and domestic duties
n
Ability to meet the physical requirements of the job that may include manual handling tasks
n
Have good computer, phone, communication, and interpersonal skills
n
Have a strong sense of personal accountability and confidentiality
n
