Perfs Fabrication & Welding Pty Ltd is seeking an experienced and motivated Fitter to join our growing team, servicing a range of industrial and mining sites throughout the Hunter Valley.
n
We are looking for a reliable and skilled tradesperson who takes pride in their workmanship, has a strong work ethic, and can work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
n
About the Role
n
As a Fitter, you will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, repair and servicing of mechanical equipment and machinery across various workshop and site-based environments.
n
Your responsibilities may include:
n
n
Mechanical fitting, assembly and installation of equipment and machinery
n
Preventative and breakdown maintenance
n
Fault finding, diagnosing and repairing mechanical issues
n
Installation and alignment of mechanical components
n
Reading and interpreting engineering drawings and technical documentation
n
Dismantling, inspecting and reassembling machinery and equipment
n
Working with pumps, conveyors, gearboxes, bearings and other mechanical equipment
n
Completing maintenance and repair work to a high standard
n
Following site safety procedures and maintaining a safe work environment
n
Working effectively with other trades and site personnel
n
n
About You
n




We are seeking someone who has:
n
n
Trade qualification as a Certificate III in Engineering – Mechanical Trade (Fitter) or equivalent
n
Previous experience in mechanical fitting, maintenance or heavy industry
n
Experience working within mining, industrial or workshop environments is highly desirable
n
Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving abilities
n
Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings
n
High attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship
n
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
n
Strong commitment to workplace health and safety
n
Reliable attitude and solid work ethic
n
n
