About the Chance
n
We are seeking a Community Engagement & Partnerships Officer with our Community and Cultural Connections Unit in Hervey Bay. This is a full time, fixed term role until 30 June ****. The role is to support community engagement activities that strengthen awareness of services, community connections and referral opportunities across the Butchulla Country (Fraser Coast).

On a day-today basis you will:
n
n
Build and maintain strong relationships with community organisations, stakeholders and service partners.
n




Develop referral pathways and strengthen community connections to support service delivery.
n
Contribute to partnership and engagement activities coordinated by the Unit.
n
Represent the organisation through participation in local networks, meetings, forums and engagement activities.
n
Promote IMPACT services and programs within the community to increase awareness and access.
n
Maintain accurate stakeholder records and assist with reporting and administrative requirements.
n
n
To succeed in this role, you will:
n
n
Experience working within community services, child and family services, mental health services or related sectors (highly desirable).
n
Demonstrated ability to build and maintain positive relationships with community members, organisations and stakeholders.
n
Ability to engage effectively with a broad range of stakeholders.
n
Effective time management and organisational skills.
n
Ability to maintain accurate records and information.
n
Ability to exercise tact, judgement and maintain confidentiality.
n
Understanding of QLD Health and Education Qld department guidelines and referral processes.
n
Knowledge of the Fraser Coast community and local service system.
n
