We are looking for experienced CNC Brake Press Setters / Operators for long-term positions with established engineering and fabrication businesses in Hallam.
n
The opportunity

$38–$40 per hour + super
n
Full-time hours on a casual ongoing basis
n
Day shift
n
Immediate start
n
Overtime available where required
n
Opportunity for ongoing employment for the right person

What you'll be doing
n
n
Set up and operate CNC brake presses
n
Program jobs directly from engineering drawings
n
Select, install and align punches and dies
n
Set back gauges and bending sequences
n
Calculate bend allowances and adjust programs
n
Complete trial bends and make necessary adjustments
n
Check bend angles using verniers, protractors and other measuring equipment
n
Conduct quality checks to ensure components meet specifications
n
Read and interpret engineering drawings
n
Work safely and independently
n

What we're looking for
n

Proven CNC brake press setting and operating experience
n
Ability to program jobs from engineering drawings
n
Strong understanding of tooling, bend sequences and material behaviour
n
Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings
n
Experience with measuring equipment including verniers and protractors
n
Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
n
Ability to work independently
n
n
Experience with Yawei, Delem DA-65 or Machtech equipment is advantageous but not essential.
n
