Bovara is a growing Australian electrical manufacturing business specialising in the design and manufacture of low-voltage switchboards and electrical solutions for commercial and industrial applications.

Due to continued demand, we are seeking an experienced Electrical Fitter / Switchboard Builder to join our manufacturing team in Huntingwood.
n
This is a secure, full-time workshop-based role for a capable and hands-on switchboard builder who takes pride in quality workmanship, safety, accuracy and delivering work right the first time.
n
The Role
n
You will be responsible for assembling and wiring low-voltage switchboards, including distribution boards, metering panels and larger switchboard assemblies up to ****A.
n
You will work across modular and welded switchboard constructions and play an important role in ensuring our products meet high standards of quality, workmanship and compliance.
n
Key Responsibilities
n
n
Assemble and fit low-voltage switchboards in a workshop environment
n
Complete busbar fabrication, installation and component mounting
n
Carry out control wiring and meter panel wiring
n
Build modular and welded switchboard assemblies
n
Interpret electrical schematics, general arrangement drawings and wiring diagrams
n
Work in accordance with approved drawings, quality standards, safety requirements and production schedules
n
Identify and resolve assembly issues promptly, escalating where required
n
Maintain a clean, safe and organised work area
n




Contribute positively to a collaborative and quality-focused team workplace
n

About You
n
To be successful in this role, you will have:
n
n
At least three years' hands-on experience assembling and wiring low-voltage switchboards, strongly preferred
n
Demonstrated capability in busbar work, control wiring, component mounting and switchboard assembly
n
Experience working with modular and welded switchboard constructions
n
Ability to confidently read and interpret electrical schematics, GA drawings and wiring diagrams
n
Strong attention to detail, neat workmanship and a right-first-time mindset
n
A practical, reliable and can-do approach
n
High safety awareness and disciplined work habits
n
Ability to work independently while contributing positively to a team
n
n
Electrical trade qualifications are highly regarded. Applicants undertaking electrical wiring duties must hold, or work under, the appropriate qualifications, licence and supervision arrangements.
