Northern Hearts Queensland are currently looking for an experienced receptionist to join our friendly and professional team.
This role will see you managing a very busy front desk reception and welcoming patients to the practice in a friendly skilled manner.
Key responsibilities
Reception, welcoming and processing patients
Scheduling and managing patient appointments
Managing telephone enquiries
Preparation and distribution of medical correspondence to referring medical providers
Preparation of patient files and assistance with preparation of consultants' clinics
Handling of cash, credit cards, Eftpos including settlement at the end of each day
Management of all patient data and correspondence
Managing of private billings, Medicare & DVA claims
Processing incoming and outgoing mail and emails
About you
Experience working in a medical background
Prior knowledge with Genie would be an advantage
A professional, patient and courteous manner




Excellent articulation and telephone manner
High level of personal presentation and professionalism
Strong multitasking capabilities
Strong customer service skills with an ability to work in a fast-paced environment
Show initiative and work productively within a team setting
The ability to liaise with patients and their families, other health professionals and fellow staff in a calm and professional manner
Flexibility in time and task performance
A friendly and enthusiastic attitude
Positive attitude towards work and maintain a good work ethic
The ideal applicant needs to have good interpersonal skills, pay strong attention to detail and have the ability to work well in both a team environment and independently.
