Director of Corporate and Community Services
Located in Far West Queensland, in the heart of the Channel Country, the Barcoo is one of the more remote shires with an area of 61,974 square kilometres in far Western Queensland, incorporating the townships of Jundah, Stonehenge and Windorah.
The Barcoo Shire lays claim to the most exceptionally unique place in Australia, and the world.
It is the only place where two prominent and significate inland rivers meet to form a creek.
The Thomson and Barcoo rivers become Cooper's Creek.
Barcoo Shire is the gateway to Birdsville, Bedourie, Innaminka, Quilpie, Longreach and Winton.
The Role
This is a unique opportunity for a finance, corporate services, governance, procurement, ICT or public sector qualified who is looking to transition into a broader executive role with genuine influence, responsibility and career development.
Working directly with the Chief Executive Officer, you will help shape the future of our unique shire while building valuable executive leadership experience.
