Tweed Heads District Hospital is seeking a Clinical Nurse Specialist Grade 2 to join the Child and Adolescent Mental Health Service Consultation Liaison team in Tweed, NSW. This is a contract position running for approximately 11 weeks, with a start date as soon as possible and an end date of 5 December ****. The role offers an chance to deliver specialist mental health nursing support to young people in a consultation liaison capacity, working within a dedicated CAMHS team.

Specialist child and adolescent mental health nursing in a consultation liaison setting

Contract position, approximately 11 weeks, starting ASAP

Based at Tweed Heads District Hospital, close to the Gold Coast and Queensland border
n

Preferred Requirements
n
n




Current registration as a Registered Nurse with AHPRA
n
Demonstrated experience working within Child and Adolescent Mental Health Services
n
Strong clinical assessment and communication skills, particularly with young people and families
n
Current Violence Prevention and Management (VPM) competency or willingness to obtain it
n
Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team in a consultation liaison model
n

Preferred Qualifications
n
n
Bachelor of Nursing or equivalent qualification
n
Post-graduate qualification or demonstrated specialist experience in child and adolescent mental health nursing
n
Current First Aid and CPR certification
