Position Information
Mudgee Public School has approximately 545 students across 19 mainstream and 8 support classes, serving a diverse rural community with a wide range of socioeconomic backgrounds.
With an Aboriginal population of around 22%, the school maintains a strong partnership with the Mudgee AECG.

Specific Selection Criteria
Approval to teach Special Education and/or experience teaching students with Autism and Behaviour Difficulties, with a strong commitment to and passion in inclusive education.
Willing to teach mild and moderate intellectual disabilities, emotional disturbances and complex challenging behaviours
Work collaboratively with parents and carers, School Learning Support Officers (SLSOs), allied health professionals and multidisciplinary teams to empower student voice, independence, learning and wellbeing.
Demonstrated ability to plan, deliver, and assess high-quality, explicit teaching and learning programs that are aligned to the syllabus, highly differentiated and responsive to the individual needs of students with complex disabilities.




Demonstrated ability to apply strong classroom management skills with school-wide wellbeing practices, to support inclusion, integration and connectedness.

An unconditional full approval to teach is a requirement.
If you do not hold a full approval to teach with the NSW Department of Education, you are required to commence the application process at the same time as you apply for this teaching opportunity.
