Job Description
As Functions & Events Manager, you will be responsible for driving the end-to-end functions experience at the Normanby. You'll manage enquiries, sales, planning and event delivery while working closely with our venue, kitchen, bar and management teams to ensure every event runs smoothly.

Key responsibilities
n
Managing all functions and events enquiries from initial enquiry through to event completion
n
Converting enquiries into confirmed bookings and achieving agreed sales targets
n
Building strong relationships with clients and becoming their trusted point of contact
n
Conducting venue tours, preparing proposals and coordinating event details
n
Creating event run sheets, function plans and ensuring all teams are briefed
n
Coordinating corporate events, birthdays, celebrations, parties and other private functions
n
Working closely with kitchen and operations teams to deliver exceptional events
n
Managing event budgets, packages, deposits and final accounts
n
Ensuring outstanding customer service before, during and after every event
n
Identifying opportunities to increase function revenue and repeat business
n
About you
n
Proven experience in a Functions, Events or Sales & Events management role
n
Strong hospitality experience,



preferably within a high-volume pub, restaurant, hotel or entertainment venue
n
A proven ability to convert enquiries into bookings and drive function sales
n
Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
n
Strong attention to detail and exceptional organisational skills
n
The ability to manage multiple events and priorities at once
n
A genuine passion for hospitality and creating memorable experiences
n
A calm, solutions-focused approach when things don't go exactly to plan
n
Confidence working independently and taking ownership of your results
n
Availability to work evenings and weekends as required by the events calendar
