An exciting opportunity is available for an experiencedSecurity Technician / Commissioning Engineerto join a growing team delivering electronic security solutions acrosscommercial and critical infrastructure projectsthroughout Sydney and surrounding areas.
This is a hands-on role suited to a technician who enjoys working on complex systems, commissioning large-scale projects and solving technical problems from installation through to final handover.
The RoleYou will be responsible for the installation, configuration, testing, commissioning and fault-finding of integrated electronic security systems, including:
CCTV and enterprise VMS platforms
Access control systems
Intruder and perimeter detection
Integrated building security systems
Controllers, readers, cameras and servers
Head-end security software and system integrations
IP networks, PoE and basic switch configurations
You'll work across a range ofcommercial, construction and critical infrastructure environments, ensuring systems are installed and commissioned in accordance with project requirements, manufacturer specifications and relevant Australian Standards.
Key Responsibilities
Install, configure and commission electronic security systems
Complete end-to-end commissioning and system testing
Diagnose and rectify faults across security systems and networks
Conduct pre-commissioning inspections and testing
Read and interpret drawings, specifications and technical documentation




Complete commissioning records, as-builts and system backups
Assist with system handovers and client training
Liaise professionally with clients, site teams and building managers
Complete preventative maintenance and reactive service work when required
About You
We're looking for someone with:
RelevantCert III or higherqualification in electrotechnology, electronics, security or a related trade
Commercial or critical infrastructure security installation/commissioning experience
Solid knowledge of IP networking, including IP addressing, VLANs and PoE
Ability to read electrical, security and architectural drawings
Current Security Installer Licence or ability to obtain one
Unrestricted driver's licence
Strong communication and problem-solving skills
Ability to work independently and as part of a project team
Experience withGallagher and/or Integritiwill be highly advantageous.
Experience withMilestone, Genetec, Honeywell, Inner Range, Lenel or C-Curewill also be well regarded.
