About the Role
n
We are currently seeking multiple casual Workplace Assessors – Early Childhood Education based in or near:
n

Mackay
n
Brisbane
n
Gold Coast
n
Tweed Head
n
n
In this role, you will support students enrolled in the CHC***** Certificate III in Early Childhood Education and Care and CHC***** Diploma of Early Childhood Education and Care while they complete their work placements.
n
The role is primarily focused on conducting work-placement visits, observing and assessing students' practical skills in the workplace, completing work-placement trainer observation reports, monitoring student progress, and providing constructive feedback.
n
This is a flexible casual role, with work offered based on student enrolments and placement activity in your local area. Hours and visit frequency will vary depending on student numbers and placement schedules.
n
Regular travel to student work-placement sites within your local area is required as part of this role.
n




For suitably qualified and experienced candidates, additional Trainer and Assessor opportunities may also be available.

Key Responsibilities
n
n
Conduct work-placement visits at Early Childhood Education and Care services
n
Observe and assess students' practical skills in the workplace
n
Monitor and document student progress during placement
n
Assess and mark placement-related assessment tasks
n
Provide constructive feedback and guidance to students
n
Liaise effectively with students, workplace supervisors, placement services, and Charter Australia staff
n
Maintain accurate assessment and workplace visit records
n
Ensure assessment practices meet relevant training package and RTO compliance requirements
n

Selection Criteria:
n
Essential
n
n
Minimum Diploma in Early Childhood Education and Care or equivalent
n
TAE***** Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (or higher/equivalent)
n
Minimum 2 years' experience working in the early childhood education and care sector
n
Experience conducting assessments in vocational education or similar settings
n
Solid communication and interpersonal skills, including the ability to liaise effectively with students and placement providers
n
Sound organisational skills and attention to detail
n
Current Queensland Blue Card or NSW Working with Children Check, as applicable
n
Current driver's licence
n
n
Desirable
n
n
Experience as a trainer/assessor in the VET (Vocational Education and Training) sector
n
Knowledge of the Standards for RTOs and compliance in vocational education
n
Familiarity with digital learning platforms and assessment tools
n
Ability to work independently and manage multiple student caseloads
n
Commitment to inclusive and culturally responsive education practices
