This Local Council based in the Sydney's South West is currently seeking a Senior Building Surveyor to assist their team with the delivery of multiple projects.
The role offers an initial 6 month contract, with the possibility of extension.
ABOUT THE ROLE.
To ensure that applications for Part 4A certificates and the PCA role under the Environmental Planning and Assessment Act **** are assessed in accordance with the Building Code of Australia and the EP & A Act, within agreed time frames.
DUTIES.
Assessing and determining Construction, Occupation, Complying Development and Building Certificates
Assess and determining applications in accordance to Swimming Pools Act **** and Environmental Planning and Assessment Act ****
Reviewing processes and procedures to maintain a high level of customer service
Investigating and resolving community, stakeholder and consultants complaints on request, regarding a range of building issues
SKILLS & EXPERIENCE.
Accredited minimum A2 or higher under the NSW BPB Accreditation Scheme




Strong knowledge of theSwimming Pools Act ****, Environmental Planning and Assessment Act ****, Local Government Act ****, Building Code of Australia and other related legislation
Strong knowledge of Work Health Safety practices, Equal Chance Employment, Ethical Practice & Multi Cultural Diversity
Qualifications in Building Surveying (or related)
Strong interpersonal and communication skills
