This is a key role in a multi-disciplinary team driving the bank's transition from a legacy Hadoop/Cloudera platform to a contemporary AWS-based data platform.
You'll work closely with data engineers, architects, and cloud specialists to support scalable, secure, and automated infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities
Manage, maintain, and evolve cloud infrastructure on AWS
Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines for automated deployment and testing
Build and support Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform or CloudFormation
Collaborate with the Data Engineering team to support data pipeline delivery
Assist in the migration from Cloudera/Hadoop to AWS-native services (e.g., S3, EMR, Glue, Redshift, Lambda)
Implement monitoring, logging,



and alerting across the cloud environment
Support platform security, compliance, and cost optimisation in line with financial services standards
Troubleshoot and resolve infrastructure and deployment issues across dev, test, and prod environments
Your Skills & Experience
Proven experience as a DevOps Engineer or Cloud Engineer in enterprise environments
Hands-on experience with AWS services (e.g., EC2, S3, Lambda, EMR, Glue, CloudWatch, IAM, VPC)
Experience with CI/CD tools (Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD, AWS CodePipeline, etc.)
Proficiency in IaC tools - Terraform preferred
Experience supporting big data platforms or working with data engineering teams
Exposure to Hadoop/Cloudera environments and understanding of migration challenges
Familiarity with cloud security and compliance in the banking/financial sector is highly desirable
