About the Role
n
Green by Nature is looking for a reliable and hands‐on Groundsperson / Garden Labourer to join our team maintaining a prominent green space in Sydney's Eastern Suburbs.
n
This is a full‐time position, working 38 hours per week, Monday to Friday. You'll work alongside an experienced team maintaining high‐quality gardens and outdoor spaces in a busy public environment.
n
It's a outstanding opportunity for someone who enjoys practical outdoor work, takes pride in keeping green spaces looking their best, and wants to build their skills and career within the horticulture industry.
n
Previous gardening, landscaping or grounds maintenance experience will be highly regarded, but just as important is a strong work ethic, reliability and willingness to learn.

Responsibilities
n
As part of the grounds maintenance team, you will:
n
n
Carry out general garden and grounds maintenance including mowing, edging, hedging, weeding and pruning
n
Assist with planting, mulching and maintaining garden beds
n
Operate equipment including push mowers, ride‐on mowers, blowers, hedgers and whipper snippers
n
Load and unload plants, materials and equipment as required
n
Keep work areas, tools and equipment clean and well maintained
n
Work closely with your team to maintain a high standard across the site
n
Follow safety procedures to ensure a safe working environment for yourself, your team and members of the public
n

About You
n
You enjoy working outdoors,

To be successful, you will ideally bring:

A strong work ethic and reliable approach to work
n
The ability to work effectively as part of a team
n
Previous experience in gardening, landscaping, horticulture or grounds maintenance, although this is not essential
n
Confidence undertaking physically active work throughout the day
n
A willingness to learn and take direction from experienced team members
n
A current driver's licence
n
A White Card and Working with Children Check, or willingness to obtain them
n
